AgVentive’s TiltSpear Simplifies Double Bale Handling

Iowa-based AgVentive has introduced the patented TiltSpear, a hydraulically tilting double bale spear designed to simplify handling two bales at once. The new spear allows operators to pick up a bale and then hydraulically tilt the frame and engage a second bale without dragging the first bale on the ground and ripping the netwrap.  In other words, operators don’t have to stop, place the first bale down, and stab both bales simultaneously. The company claims a time savings of 25% using the TiltSpear compared with conventional double spears. The unit weights 600 lbs., has four 48-in. tines rated at 3,800 lbs., and is sold with a universal bolt-on design that accommodates all MDS mounting couplers, making it compatible with most front-end loaders, skid steers and tractors.  Dimensions are L: 48 in., W: 58 in., H: 36 in.
