John Deere Introduces Gen-Set Engines for Emergency Stationary Applications
John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) is pleased to introduce two new 13.5L generator drive diesel engines for emergency stationary gen-set applications in the 469- to 670-hp range. The new engines are available with a New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) emergency stationary label for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
The PowerTech E 13.5L features higher-output ratings of 538 hp and 617 hp at 1800 rpm, and meets key power nodes of 469 and 536 hp standby power. The new engine is capable of achieving Tier 3 emissions levels as required by emergency stationary regulations. The PowerTech 13.5L offers compact size, increased power density and lower heat rejection when compared to engines requiring a larger displacement. The new engine offers a power rating of 755 hp at 1800 rpm and meets a key power node of 670 hp standby power. This model is certified to meet Tier 2 emissions levels as required by emergency stationary regulations for gen-set ratings above 750 hp.
