John Deere Unveils New Precision Planter Upgrade Solutions

John Deere has introduced two new precision planter upgrade kits, enhancing its lineup of customizable solutions to help farmers boost productivity and efficiency.

The new MaxEmerge 5e and ExactEmerge meter upgrade kits provide ways to modernize existing planters without needing to replace entire row units.

“These new upgrades are designed to help farmers be more productive and efficient, saving time and money,” Kyle Barry, precision upgrade marketing manager at John Deere said.

“We’re offering innovative solutions that allow farmers to enhance their planting technology without investing in a whole new planter.”

ExactEmerge Meter Upgrade Kit

The ExactEmerge Meter Upgrade kit enables farmers with 2015 or newer John Deere MaxEmerge or MaxEmerge 5e planters to achieve planting speeds of up to 10 miles per hour with pinpoint population and spacing accuracy. The kit includes the BrushBelt seed delivery system, which places seeds precisely at the bottom of the trench to promote even emergence and maximize yield potential.

This solution is ideal for operations looking to increase planting speed and accuracy without replacing shanks, parallel arms, or gauge wheels.

MaxEmerge 5e Meter Upgrade Kit

Designed for 2015 or newer MaxEmerge 5 planters, this upgrade kit converts mechanical drives to electric drives, enhancing population accuracy by up to 20% and allowing for variable rate prescriptions and individual row shutoffs. This upgrade also includes the new SeedStar 5 monitoring system, offering real-time planting data and integration with the John Deere Operations Center.

Ulitmate Planter Upgrade

In addition to the new meter kits, the company continues to offer the Ultimate Planter Upgrade, a complete factory row replacement for 2005 and newer planters.

This upgrade includes ExactEmerge or MaxEmerge 5e electric meters, active pneumatic downforce and customizable options like ExactRate or ExactShot liquid fertilizer systems.
