Kubota Adds MX4900 to Utility Tractor Lineup
Kubota Tractor Corporation has introduced the MX4900, the newest addition to its popular line of utility tractors, at the 2025 National Farm Machinery Show.
Designed as a versatile workhorse, the MX4900 is billed as a powerful yet affordable solution for transporting hay bales, grading driveways and general property maintenance.
The MX4900 is the largest chassis with a hydrostatic (HST) transmission offered by Kubota and is available in both ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and cab models.
The new model comes at a lower horsepower level and a competitive price point, making it an attractive option for smaller-scale farmers and ranchers. The MX4900 starts at $32,012 manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the power unit only.
“We’re hitting a lot of wish list items with the introduction of the MX4900: not only is it the largest chassis with an HST that Kubota offers, but this model now includes a lower horsepower offering in both a ROPS and cab machine, placing it at a more competitive price point for the customer seeking the capabilities of a machine this size,” Tyler Weyenberg, Kubota product manager, utility tractors said.
Powerful Engine Options and Transmission Versatility
The MX4900 features two transmission options: a gear drive transmission paired with a 50.3-horsepower turbocharged engine offering eight forward and eight reverse speeds, and an HST transmission model powered by a 51.8-horsepower turbocharged engine with three-range speed.
Both models come equipped with a reliable Kubota diesel engine and a Common-Rail System with electronically controlled fuel injection, ensuring high performance and a comfortable operating experience.
Comfort and Ergonomic Design
Kubota designed the MX4900 for ease of use and operator comfort. Both ROPS and cab models feature ergonomically placed controls and a spacious operator station.
Additional comfort features include an optional suspension air ride seat with armrests, standard rubber floor mats and new optional dealer-installed LED lighting kits. The cab model is equipped with heating and air conditioning, as well as an optional rear defogger and rear wiper, ensuring a comfortable experience in all weather conditions.
Versatile Performance-Matched Implements
The MX4900 can be paired with the optional LA1065A front loader, which is engineered by Kubota for high lift capacity, lift height and breakout force. This performance-matched loader allows for simultaneous lift and dump capabilities, increasing productivity on the jobsite.
The LA1065A also comes with a two-lever quick coupler, enabling easy attachment and detachment of other front implements, such as grapple buckets and bale spears.
Availability
The MX4900 will be available in spring 2025 at authorized Kubota dealers nationwide.
