New Yetter Mfg. Coulter Enables Precision Placement of Fertilizers
With today’s precision technology, growers expect to be able to accurately place nutrients in the soil at faster operating speeds and changing field conditions. Yetter Manufacturing announces a new addition to its fertilizer application lineup: the 4000 Nutrient-Pro Coulter. The Nutrient-Pro Coulter can be set up to operate at 5 or 7 degrees and is capable of fertilizing at speeds of up to 12 mph.
The versatile, single-disc Nutrient-Pro Coulter is designed to mount to planter frames with mounting brackets designed for specific planter models. It can also directly mount to a fertilizer applicator toolbar for pre-apply or side-dressing, utilizing liquid or dry fertilizers. This coulter is the solution for growers’ precision placement needs—featuring three adjustable down-pressure settings and five easy-to-adjust depth settings from 1.5”-6”, it ensures the fertilizer is placed accurately.
The components are heat-treated and feature cast-steel construction, enabling the coulter to endure the toughest field conditions. The coulter utilizes a 3” x 16” semi-pneumatic rubber tire to maintain the depth setting, providing consistent depth over varying terrain. The wheel also performs as a “wiper wheel,” utilizing the offset tread design to help prevent soil from building up on the disc blade.
The coulter is available with two blade options—18” or 20” diameter—as well as an optional closing disc that bolts on the coulter easily. Mounting bracket kits are available for different planter makes and models. Fertilizer toolbar mounting bar kits are available in various sizes.
