WinField and UNIBEST team up to produce date reporting resin capsule

WinField will be teaming up with UNIBEST International to pair its NutriSolutions® Tool tissue testing capability with resin capsule technology from UNIBEST International, a Washington-based technology company. UNIBEST specializes in soil and water analysis for the agricultural, turf care, environmental, and home and garden markets.

The NutriSolutions® Tool uses plant tissue samples to evaluate and monitor plant nutrient status before visual deficiencies appear in the plant so the crop can obtain optimal yield. Tissue samples taken from the plant are sent to a laboratory, analyzed, then returned to the local agronomist so results about nutrient deficiencies in the plant can be shared with the farmer and any needed input adjustments made.

Filled with a unique resin blend in a mesh capsule about the size of a cherry tomato, the UNIBEST product allows direct nutrient measurements in the field, giving agronomists and farmers a more complete view of plant nutrition. The capsule adsorbs nutrients, chemicals, or organic substances and reveals nutrient dynamics and bio-availability within the soil. UNIBEST resins mimic a plant’s root system and adsorb available nutrients.
